Florida Baptist diversity was on full display on Monday night’s dinner fellowships at First Orlando during the Florida Baptist State Convention annual gathering. Haitian, Hispanic, multicultural, and Asian-American Baptists gathered to fellowship and celebrate what God is doing in and through each of their churches. Layperson Jeffery Crick, a family physician at Mayo Clinic and member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church in St. Johns, will be nominated by Tim Maynard, recently retired lead pastor of Fruit Cove, to serve as 2023-2024 second vice president of the Florida Baptist State Convention.

David Perez, pastor of Iglesia Casa de Bendicion in St. Cloud and director of prayer for the National Hispanic Baptist Network, will be nominated by Manuel Barahona, pastor at Westside Baptist Church in Boynton Beach, to serve as 2023-2024 first vice president of the Florida Baptist State Convention.
