Partnerships

Sharing the eternal life changing power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the purpose and mission of every Florida Baptist Church. We have been given ONE Gospel message to share with those who God has placed in our lives. One Gospel message that has the power to change nearly 8 billion individuals that currently inhabit planet earth and the 33+ million individuals that call Florida their home. How will they hear about our Jesus if we, the children of God, do not share the eternity changing truth that Jesus loves them and has an incredible plan for their lives? The task of sharing the Gospel with 8 billion people is too large for one person or for one church family to accomplish; however, it is NOT too large for the ONE body of Christ to accomplish working together.

Working together we form partnerships that enable us to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) of our Lord Jesus Christ. The churches of the Florida Baptist Convention have partnered with Southern Baptist mission organizations, groups, agencies and especially with other churches to be successful in answering the call of our Lord to be on His mission. We ask every Florida Church member to join together by being on His mission. Listed below are some avenues that if you chose to participate in will take you directly to His mission fields. PRAY

BE ON MISSION BY PRAYING. The greatest avenue that God has given us to being on mission is by having the privilege of talking with Him. We receive the who, what, where and the how of our mission task by going directly to our Lord Jesus Christ for His daily instructions. By praying we are directly asking the Holy Spirit to prepare us to carry out the Great Commission of our Lord and to directly guide us to our assigned place of service. Daily praying for the mission we have been blessed and entrusted with gives us the clarity of our Kingdom assignment and purpose.

Prayer is the mission activity that allows the child of God to be global in their mission activities every single day. We are given the privilege of praying for individuals in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and even to the ends of the earth. Being on mission by praying has NO (age, health, financial, safety, gender, education) restrictions! Make a Kingdom decision to daily be on mission by praying.

Listed below are prayer prompts that will direct you in being on mission by praying. These prayer prompts will be updated either daily, weekly or monthly from the Florida Baptist Convention, North American Mission Board, Send Relief, International Mission Board and other Southern Baptist mission organizations. GIVE

BE ON MISSION BY GIVING. Stewardship of the resources that God has entrusted us with is a great blessing and responsibility. What a joy to think that God trusts us so much that He is willing to give us resources to manage for Him. At the same time, we feel the awesome responsibility of making sure we are good managers of His resources. To ensure that we will be successful in our stewardship responsibility, God has given us the Biblical roadmap in Malachi 3:10 “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven , and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Mission giving therefore starts with bringing the tithes into the storehouse of your local church family.

Florida Baptist churches are global in their stewardship as they send their financial gifts to the Florida Baptist Convention. Your gifts are distributed through the Florida Baptist Convention and the Cooperative Program to impact daily your Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and even to the ends of the earth. Due to the faithfulness of your stewardship, the sun never sets on where your financial gifts are being utilized for the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus.

Mission giving does begin by bringing the tithes into the storehouse of your local church. God also grants us as His stewards to bless His work with offerings above and beyond our tithes. Listed below are giving prompts that will direct you in being on mission by giving. These giving prompts are designed to inform you of mission giving opportunities within our Florida Baptist and Southern Baptist life. BE ON MISSION BY GIVING.

GO

BE ON MISSION BY GOING. Florida Baptist churches are global in carrying out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. From across the street of their churches to around the world, the members of our Florida Baptist churches are eager to engage individuals with the love of Christ and share the wonderful news of His salvation plan for their lives. Listed below are some of the opportunities to “GO” share and display the love of our Lord Jesus. Resource links are also included under the “GO” section that will keep you informed and prepared in being on the mission that you and your church family have been called to undertake.

CELEBRATE

BE ON MISSION BY CELEBRATING. We are instructed by God to daily be on His mission, which enables us to carry out our earthly and eternal purpose of giving Him all praise and glory. God desires to teach us, grow us and even bless us when we chose to be faithful to His Word and daily instructions. The blessing of being obedient to His mission for our lives leads to an abundance of Kingdom celebrations. We are given the blessing of celebrating the endless stories of Kingdom victories in and through the lives of His children. Being on mission teaches me to celebrate not only what God is doing in and through my life but to celebrate what God is doing throughout His Kingdom. Think of the amazing truth of this statement, “You being faithful on your Kingdom mission is my celebration!” As the church of Jesus Christ, we have been abundantly blessed with countless opportunities to celebrate the victories of His Kingdom.

In this section are Kingdom stories of celebration. We would like to include you and your church “on mission story” in this section. Please send us a photo of your mission team on local, state, country or international missions. For security measures limit the pictures to your team members and with their approvals for the picture to be posted. Your celebration photo will be encouragement to all of us as we celebrate together the workers in the harvest.
