Sexual Abuse Care and Prevention

An eight-person special committee tasked with examining policies and procedures governing sexual abuse allegation reporting, survivor care and prevention within the Florida Baptist State Convention has been appointed by FBSC President Paul Purvis.

A recommendation to create a special committee to examine all policies and procedures governing sexual abuse allegation reporting, sexual abuse survivor care and sexual abuse prevention within the Florida Baptist State Convention was approved by messengers attending the Nov. 9 meeting at Lakes Church in Lakeland, Fla.

A recommendation to create a special committee “to examine all policies and procedures governing sexual abuse allegation reporting, sexual abuse survivor care and sexual abuse prevention within the Florida Baptist State Convention” was approved by the State Board of Missions during its Nov. 8 meeting prior to the FBSC meeting in Lakeland.
