Mission First opens doors to serve community
The newly built 22,000-square-foot, multipurpose Mission First facility recently opened its doors, providing space and flexibility to be an equipping center for several of the church’s mission partners. In March, the church had a special time of responsive reading and prayer to celebrate completion of the mission and ministry facility.
West Florida Baptists cope with Hurricane Sally’s damaging winds, flooding
West Pensacola and surrounding areas were battered by the sluggish Hurricane Sally which made landfall Sept. 16 as a Category 2. Many in the region were caught off guard by the intensity of the storm forecasted as a Category 1 hurricane.
First Baptist Pensacola Celebrates Holy Week
With hearts prepared for Resurrection Day, 1,700 people came to celebrate the resurrection of the Risen Lord on Sunday at First Baptist Pensacola. Pastor Snyder said, “I do not want to produce a manufactured environment we then feel like we have to reproduce every week to get visitors back…I want Easter to be genuine and sustainable time of Worship.”
