In the aftermath of Hurricane Laura striking the Gulf Coast, Louisiana Baptist Disaster Relief (LBDR) has requested Florida Baptist Disaster Relief (FLDR) support their ongoing response with two shower/laundry units and at least two clean-up recovery units.
Teams of Florida Baptist Disaster Relief (FLDR) volunteers immediately responded after tornadoes hit West Florida during the week of April 20, damaging buildings and causing power outages from Tallahassee to Pensacola.
Florida Baptist Disaster Relief is currently monitoring tropical storm Dorian as it becomes a growing hurricane threat to the Sunshine state. “Florida Baptist Disaster Relief continues to monitor Hurricane Dorian and its impact on U.S. Virgin Islands and pending impact on the mainland,” said Delton Beall, Disaster Relief state director.
The Florida Baptist Disaster Relief (FLDR) ministry is in full swing with upcoming Disaster Relief Training sessions taking place over the next several months. FLDR assists people in crisis following hurricanes, tornados, fires, and flood damage.
