Florida Baptist churches continue to stir the waters of baptism with the powerful testimony of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is a time of rejoicing within the church when individuals profess their faith through the public symbol of baptism. It is exciting to hear the reports across Florida of changed lives in Christ!
We have completed receiving the Annual Church Profile (ACP) from our Florida Baptist Churches. 71% of our churches participated in this reporting process. This report reflects the information received from 2,122 of our churches.
We celebrate as Florida Baptists that 26,162 persons were baptized in Florida Baptist churches which reported during this past church year. I rejoice in the strategic and intentional manner in which our churches are sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
I encourage you as a local church to join with other Florida Baptist churches in the Who’s Your One? emphasis. This charge has been given throughout the Southern Baptist Convention. Each church has received a Who’s Your One? box that includes materials for leading your church in this manner. If you have not received this material please contact your Regional Catalyst for assistance.
The Acts 2:41 Coast to Coast Baptism emphasis is the May 5 weekend. I encourage you to join with other Florida Baptist churches and let’s surround Florida with the witness of baptism. Churches will be at beaches, rivers, lakes, swimming pools, baptismal areas, and other creative places outside the building for this celebration.
