- Encouraging and inspiring the establishment of permanent, free dental clinics in Florida Baptist churches.
Reserve Unit for 2027
Reserve Mobile Dental for 2027
Florida Baptist churches and associations may reserve the Mobile Dental Ministry. Florida Baptists have two units. The first unit is a 40 foot mobile unit that has two operatories. This unit provides treatment—extractions and fillings. The second is a trailer with portable hygiene equipment. You may reserve either one or both. The church or association serves as sponsor of the dental mission. This sponsor is responsible for establishing a local project planning team, enlisting patients, and recruiting dental care professionals, as well as planning for an evangelistic ministry in tandem with the dental ministry.
Florida Baptist Convention will do the following:
1. Provide a Mobile Dental Ministry Planning Manual and trainers for your planning team.
2. Provide the mobile unit and dental supplies.
3. Provide a Mobile Dental Unit Coordinator.
4. Provide the hygiene unit and supplies.
5. Provide a trainer for your team and dental hygienists.
The Association or Church will need to do the following:
1. Schedule, budget and begin planning six to seven months prior to the project.
2. Follow the Mobile Dental Ministry Planning Manual.
3. Provide housing and meals for the coordinators.
4. Enlist dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists and other health professionals as needed.
5. Work with your Department of Health related to sovereign immunity.
