Engaging the Next Generation

The Next Generation Ministry is not about the future but the present. We cannot wait and hope for good things for the Next Generation. We must actively engage the Next Generation in the ministry of our churches today.

A unified approach to preschool, children, student, and collegiate ministry enables a church to respond in partnership with parents to our children through these critical years of life.

Billy Young, who serves as the Next Generation Ministries Catalyst for the Florida Baptist Convention, can help your church develop a strategy to make disciples among these age groups. His contact email is billy.young@flbaptist.org.

The summer provides amazing opportunities for significant Next Generation ministry.

Vacation Bible School remains a very effective tool in touching families and children for Christ. We prayerfully anticipate many children experiencing salvation through Jesus Christ through this ministry in our churches.

Summer is a time for children and student camps. These camp experiences are significant moments of ministry for churches.

I am grateful for the summer camps at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center. Check out our website for information on Camp WorldLight, Haitian Youth Camp, and Super Summer Camps.

Because of the demand of our churches for Super Summer Camp, an additional week has been added to our schedule. The dates for Super Summer are July 11-15 and July 18-22. For more information about Super Summer go to www.supersummerflorida.com.
