The purpose of the Feeding Ministry is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those impacted by a disaster. This is accomplished through the work of our volunteers and commercial equipment, which enables us to prepare up to 40,000 meals per day.
The Florida Baptist Disaster Relief have two mobile feeding units ready to make a difference. Feeding Unit 001 is a 53′ semi trailer with five commercial convection ovens and three tilt skillets. It with its support team allows us to serve 25,000 meals a day. Feeding Unit 002 is a smaller gooseneck trailer which can be more easily maneuvered and has three convection ovens and two tilt skillets. Feeding Unit 002 is set-up to serve 15,000 meals a day. Both units take a logistics, cooking, serving, and sanitation team to work at full capacity.
Mobile kitchens are under the same state and federal food and health regulations as a regular restaurant.
