Retired Convention staff Frank Delrose Jr. dies

JACKSONVILLE (FBC) Retired Florida Baptist Convention employee Frank Delrose Jr., died April 24 at the Heartland Health Care Center in Orange Park. He was 85.

Delrose served as an associate in the Convention’s Sunday School Department from 1963 until his retirement in 1985; and as minister of education of three Florida Baptist churches: St. Johns Park in Jacksonville, 1958-1963; Webster Avenue in Lakeland, 1957-1958; and Lake Forest in Jacksonville, 1955-1957.

Born Oct. 6, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pa, Delrose received the bachelor in religious education and the diploma in sacred music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1955.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marion Delrose; daughter, Teresa Moseley of Keystone Heights, and son, Tim Delrose of Middleburg.

Services were held Wednesday, April 30, at First Baptist Church of Orange Park.
