We
had a
service
at the
end of
the week
(in Belgium)
that was
to introduce
who we
were to
the community.
We handed
out 7,000
flyers
to promote
it, and
seven
new people
came.
With a
church
of 12-14
regular
attendees,
that was
quite
a large
group
of new
visitors
for one
night.
God was
good.
We saw
one man
come to
Christ
and another
man came
to Christ
on the
following
Sunday.

Many
people
came
to me
after
each service
to tell
me my
testimony
had impacted
them,
that God
spoke
through
me. The
blessings
were too
numerous
to count,
but mostly,
it was
a deep
bond of
love formed
between
previously
unknown
people
to brothers
and sisters
in Christ.
Our good-byes
in Peruwelz
(Belgium)
were so
tearful.

The
first
crusade
night
we took
part in,
the Haitian
leadership
had built
a platform
at the
crossroads
of a small
town (Cabaret)
about
20 miles
outside
Port-Au-Prince.
It was
raining.
Someone
said,
"The
crusade
will have
to be
cancelled."
Someone
else said,
"Let's
pray one
more time."
A preacher
walked
out into
the rain,
raised
his arms
toward
heaven
and asked
God to
stop the
rain,
that this
town needed
this crusade.
Believe
what you
will,
within
15 minutes
the rain
had stopped
and we
had church
under
the stars!
Over 300
folks
came out
of nowhere
to sing
and to
hear the
Word of
God!
We
were told
that at
least
2,000
people
had heard
the Word
of God,
and that
at least
136 people
had accepted
Christ
as their
Savior
during
these
crusade
nights.

Thanks
so much
for your
part in
our truly
wonderful
experience!
Meeting
Alfons
and the
rest of
the Melle
church
was such
a treat.
We must
have walked
10 miles
(with
Alfons
leading
the way)
those
two-and-a-half
days,
passing
out fliers.
I hope
a seed
was planted
in the
minds
of at
least
one soul.
The Sunday
with Sammye's
church
was special
in its
own right,
with a
choir
from the
Netherlands
and so
many different
cultures
gathering
together.
It was
cold and
raining,
but who
could
care!
Gloria
Mellard,

The
most wonderful
part
was living,
working
and worshiping
with Christian
brothers
and sisters.

The
greatest
blessing
was the
fellowship
with Cuban
Christians
and sensing
their
enthusiasm
and optimism
about
the future
of churches
in Cuba.
Young
people
are especially
"on
fire"
in their
enthusiasm.
Ronnie
Walker,
Belleview
It
was very
encouraging
when the
people
became
excited
during
the skits
we performed.
It meant
a lot
to see
that they
really
understood
what we
were trying
to tell
them-that
Jesus
Christ
overcomes
all things!
