Deacons' Ministries
Strong deacons' ministries emphasize Biblical ministry over administration. In order to help Florida Baptist pastors and deacons develop strong leadership in this area, the Convention offers the following events. For more information on these events, click on the Association name.
A Statewide Pastor/Deacon/Spouse retreat will be held at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center on Sept. 19-20.

The Discipleship and Family Department assists church leaders in their continuing task of equipping members for Christian discipleship by training them in new member orientation, leader development, doctrinal instruction, church history, constitution and by-laws, church staff job descriptions and church polity. This area of work also offers assistance with church recreation and drama, media libraries, Bible drills, health and fitness, and other personal growth support ministries.
