The Convention provides a program of pastoral salary assistance that is available to persons starting new church missions. Assistance is also given to the development of research to identify the interests, needs and demographics of the people who could benefit from the start of a new mission church.

African-American
The African-American Church Planting Department under the supervision of the director of the African-American Ministries Division, works directly with churches, associations, and pastors to provide leadership to the Florida Baptist Convention's strategy for evangelizing Florida’s African-American population.This task includes giving leadership in starting missional churches that are reproducing, and intentional in evangelizing and disciplining African-Americans, hence encouraging them to incorporate their skills and knowledge into the fiber of the Florida Baptist Convention.

of Florida
Baptists,
God's
word is
spoken
in 21
languages,
predominately
Spanish,
French
Creole
(Haitian),
Korean
and Portuguese.
This is
accomplished
with Convention
resources
being
provided
directly
to associations
and churches
to assist
in the
planting
of new
churches.
Also provided
are conferences
to train
pastors
and lay
leaders
and developing
language-specific
resource
materials
for non-English
speaking
congregations.
